Trigger is an immersive environment in which the theme of memory is creatively explored.

Volunteers have told us their earliest memories of comfort. Of shame. Of envy. Of love.

Trigger is a creative response to those memories. Sound artist Lori Beckstead has created soundscapes based around these memories, while visual artist Laurie Petrou has responded with moving and still images. All are brought together in an environment in which participants can experience visual and aural recall. As visitors move through the physical space they will trigger memories: literally, by triggering the works to reveal themselves to their eyes and ears, and metaphorically, as the works trigger their own personal memories.
